Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver Will Star in Benefit Reading of Hamish Linklater’s The Vandal

Sigourney Weaver, Noah Robbins and Seminar star Alan Rickman will take part in the Flea Theater’s benefit reading of fellow Seminar star Hamish Linklater’s play The Vandal. Directed by Jim Simpson, The Vandal will receive this starry reading on April 3 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.

The Vandal is set on a frozen night in Kingston, New York, where a woman (Weaver), who's lost everything, tags her name on Death's door. All proceeds raised by the production will go to the Flea Theater.

Primarily an actor, Linklater made his Broadway debut in Seminar. His numerous off-Broadway credits include The School for Lies, The Merchant of Venice and Twelfth Night. On television, Linklater played Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ brother on The New Adventures of Old Christine. He, along with wife Jessica Goldberg, wrote the pilot for ABC’s Prince of Motor City.

Rickman received Tony nominations for his work in Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Private Lives. He may be best known to modern audiences for his role as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series. Weaver became an international superstar for her role in the Alien films. Her Broadway credits include The Constant Wife, Hurlyburly (Tony nomination) and Sex and Longing. Robbins appeared on Broadway in Brighton Beach Memoirs and Arcadia.
